Maegan Woodin

Co-Founder

Maegan Moved To NYC When She Was 18 Years Old To Pursue A Career In Ballet, Landing A Touring Contract With Both Ballet For Young Audiences And Naganuma Dance. She Has Had The Opportunity To Perform With Such Esteemed Choreographers Such As Julie Bour, David Fernandez, Nicole Fosse, Darcy Naganuma, And Pamela Pribisco. She Has Taught At Various Schools In NYC Such As: Ballet Academy East, Steps On Broadway, Joffrey Ballet School, Caedmon School And Dalton. She Currently Performs With Shirdance And Works As A Shoe Model For Blowfish Shoes. After Completing A Degree At Fordham University In 2013, She Started The Floral Design Company, Three Stems. Currently, Maegan Teaches Private Ballet Classes Throughout The City And Loves Teaching Juliette And Ella’s Playdate With Her Good Friend Sarah.

Sarah Post Brummer

Co-Founder (Juliette's Mom)

Sarah is the co-founder of Juliette & Ella's Play Date as well as mom to Juliette.  She is originally from Virginia and studied Vocal Performance and Theatre at Indiana University (Bloomington) where she was a member of the Grammy-nominated choir: The Singing Hoosiers, as well as, the all-female a cappella group: Ladies First.  After graduating, she performed in several theatre productions across the States and was a lead singer for Jean Ann Ryan Productions where she toured the world singing on cruise ships and even opened for Carole King in Venice, Italy.  She moved to NYC in 2007 and toured as a backup singer for the legendary La La Brooks, original lead singer of The Crystals ("Da Doo Ron, Ron", "And Then He Kissed Me", ...).  She recorded her first EP produced by Ted Mason of Modern English in 2011 ("I'll Stop the World And Melt With You") and played several stages in NYC including The Bitter End, Rockwood Music Hall & The Cutting Room).  She's also been featured on several television shows and national commercials.  In 2015 her daughter, Juliette, was born and she began a new adventure: becoming a teacher and an entrepreneur.

Sophy Castro

Teacher

Sophy was born in Guatemala…singing. She moved to NY to make “it” happen in 2017.  At only 22

years old, she received the Award for Artists of the Year 2018 in her home country in the Pop singer category. She Was Also Winner of 9 medals in the World Championship of Performing Arts in Los Angeles, and The Apollo Theater Amateur’s night first place.


Her songs are featured in iTunes and Spotify and her videos are in Vevo. Her song "Away" was number one in sales on iTunes on the day of the launch.

Sophy has given several concerts for fund raising being nationally broadcast. She has also been in numerous presentations featuring Disney songs, musicals such as Annie and Mamma Mia in Guatemala and recently Urine Town, Two Thousand Miles, Ramona and I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change in NYC.

She is currently living and working in New York, where she just graduated from Circle in the Square Theater School, Musical Theater Program. 

Brian Vaulx Jr.

Teacher

Brian Vaulx Jr. has been living in NYC for almost 2 years perusing his dream of singing full time. You will find him performing at Gayle's Broadway Rose and with the Juliette and Ella's Playdate team! He just appeared on the TV show "Becoming a Pop Star" and if you ever have the honor of seeing him in class he will wow you with his smooth vocals and harmonies!

Christiana Meeks

Teacher

Christiana graduated from The Boston Conservatory for both her Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance and Master of Music degree in Opera Performance. She has a wide variety of performance experience ranging from opera, musical theatre, chorale, background vocals, puppetry and improv. Christiana was a member of the Tanglewood Festival Chorus for two years where she sang with The Boston Pops, The Boston Symphony Orchestra and The Tanglewood Festival. She has sung with world renowned conductors such as John Williams, Andris Nelson and Eric Whitacre. She has had the honor to perform at The Lincoln Center’s Avery Fisher Hall and Carnegie Hall. After graduating from her master degree, she began teaching music and drama at a variety of schools/colleges (ages 3-adult) in her hometown of Monterey, California. She has experience in Vocal Coaching, Music Directing and Directing. Christiana worked as an Education Coordinator and performed as a Cover at the Off Broadway show Pip’s Island. Regional Productions include Dyanne in Pacific Repertory’s Million Dollar Quartet and Gloria the Hippo in Madagascar! A Musical Adventure. Christiana loves to play her Ukulele and share the gift of music. She is passionate about encouraging others to express themselves through the performing arts.

Sarah Franklin

Teacher

 Sarah Franklin has been singing and dancing since she can remember. Originally from central Florida, she grew up surrounded by all things Disney and thus, performing professionally became her dream. Sarah recently graduated from Long Island University (Post) with her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre. After a brief hiatus due to the pandemic, she made her move to the Upper East Side at the top of 2021. Sarah has always had a passion for storytelling, and she is so excited to share this joy with everyone at Juliette and Ella’s Play date!

Emmy O’Dell Belcher

Teacher

Emmy O’Dell Belcher is a South Florida native, and a 2021 graduate of Long Island University, Post Campus, where she earned her BFA in Musical Theatre. She has been singing and dancing for as long as she could walk and talk, and has a true passion for performing. She absolutely loves singing, dancing, and playing with all the budding, young performers at Juliette and Ella’s play date, and hopes to spread the joy of music and dance in each and every class. Brecke

Teacher

Brecke has a great deal of experience in dance. Including The Nutcracker (Sugar Plum Fairy), Giselle (Giselle), La Bayadere (Gamzatti, Nikiya), Le Corsaire (Medora), Don Quixote (Kitri) and Swan Lake for Theaters all around New York, as well as many International Theaters. She began her ballet training at Ballet West Academy. At a very young age she received a scholarship to New York City to study with Valentina Kozlova. She has competed and performed throughout the world (Korea, Spain, Italy, Japan, Germany, Paris, Belgium), as well as USA, winning multiple gold, silver, bronze and many scholarships. Brecke also has performed at the iHeart Radio Award Show as a backup dancer for award winning Camilla Cabello. She has taught ballet to all ages for many years. She loves children and inspiring them to live their dreams. She currently lives in New York City working as a dancer, model and actor.
